Simple Web TV adds support for HTML5.
The professional and economical solution for creating WebTV / Video Portals now supports HTML5, through an optional extension.
Valencia, Spain. August 1, 2012 – The new version of Simple Web TV adds, among other improvements, support for HTML5 video playback when the Flash plugin from Adobe, not available in the device from which is displayed WebTV.
The use of HTML5 is ideal to allow the WebTV is displayed on Smartphones and Tablets that do not have the Flash plugin, but have Web browsers that support HTML5 and H.264 video playback., Eg iPhone, Android devices 4.1, etc.
Although the HTML5 is an evolving standard, at present has reached a level of maturity sufficient to begin to enjoy its advantages, besides being supported by major Web browsers on the market.
Until recently, the only way to view videos in web browsers was through video players that depended on plugins like Flash. One of the main advantages of HTML5 is that it allows playback of audiovisual content without plugins. The only thing required is a device that plays video in H.264 (MPEG4) and a Web browser with support for H.264 video and HTML5.
The extension, optional HTML5 Simple Web TV features full HTML5 video player (with support for playlists, fullscreen mode, etc..) Used when the Flash plugin is not available on the device from which is displayed WebTV.
